Why are rolling mill buildings demanding?
Rolling mill buildings are among the most demanding applications for a steel load-bearing system. Heavy crane loads, high clear height requirements and wide spans come together in the same structure.
Because crane runway beams are subject to fatigue, they are generally fabricated to a higher execution class, which in turn raises the extent of weld examination and the traceability required.
Planning alongside the commissioning schedule
The fabrication and erection programme is being set up together with the commissioning schedule of the plant. In this way, once the structure is finished, the preparation needed for equipment installation is finished too.
