Quality and Standards

Quality, occupational health and safety, and environmental management are run under a single policy. Our fabrication is certified under EN 1090 and EN ISO 3834-2.

Our structural steel fabrication is certified for Factory Production Control under EN 1090-1 and EN 1090-2, and our welding processes under EN ISO 3834-2. ASME BPVC and PED 2014/68/EU are referenced in pressure vessel manufacturing, and every fabrication is handed over with a traceable file.

Reference Standards

In structural steel fabrication the execution class, the welding quality requirements and the conformity assessment are three linked elements; all three are managed together.

Our Certificates
EN 1090-2 Execution of Steel and Aluminium Structures
Execution rules for structural steel fabrication by execution class (EXC). It defines the scope of our Factory Production Control certificate.
EN ISO 3834-2 Quality Requirements for Fusion Welding
Comprehensive quality requirements for the fusion welding of metallic materials; welding procedures and welder qualifications are managed under this scope.
EN 1090-1 Conformity Assessment
Conformity assessment forming the basis of CE marking for structural steelwork fabrication.
PED 2014/68/EU Pressure Equipment Directive
The European Union directive applied in pressure vessel manufacturing; referenced together with ASME BPVC.

Quality Policy

  • To fulfil the requirements of the Quality, Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Management System standards.
  • To meet our customers' requests at the required quality and within the required time, and to achieve quality production in every field.
  • To remain competitive in the sector through our product quality, reliability and experience.
  • To regard quality not as a level once reached and maintained, but as a target that changes and renews itself in step with global progress.
  • To ensure the implementation of our Quality Policy and to continuously improve the Quality Management System.
  • To embed a customer-focused understanding of quality throughout the organisation.

Occupational Health and Safety

  • To carry out risk assessments against potentially hazardous situations within the scope of our activities and to avoid no preventive measure.
  • To provide all our employees and visitors with the training required against the hazards that may arise within the scope of our activities.
  • To continuously renew and develop our production methods so as to make application easier for our customers.
  • To improve the quality system and production efficiency by providing the necessary technological investment and training.

Environmental Management

  • To make use of our recyclable waste and to reduce the consumption of limited natural resources.
  • To prevent the pollution that would arise from environmentally harmful waste and to avoid any adverse effect on living things.
  • To take the measures required to avoid polluting the environment and to comply with the relevant legislation and requirements.

Measurement and Inspection Records

Coating thickness, weld examination and dimensional control results are handed over in the fabrication file. The records below were taken on site.

Dry film thickness measurement

Dry film thickness measurement

Spot measurement with a digital thickness gauge after primer and top coat; results are compared against the ISO 12944 system requirement.

Final inspection before despatch
